h. brandt was born in Northern Germany and after he
studied design he moved to Munich to study arts.
Beside his studies he played drums in different bands
to finance his paintings.
The Academie of Fine Arts in Munich supported
brandt’s talent by featuring him in various exhibitions.
Prof. K.F. Dahmen took him in his masterclass and
sent him to the European Forum Alpbach in Austria
for an exhibition. At this time he worked on series
of figurative paintings. h. brand lost all his paintings of
this time when his studio burned down. He was hurt
so much that he stopped painting.He moved to Ibiza
and worked as a musician.
He travelled to Asia, South America, Africa, the USA
and all the European countries.
Then he opened his own bar, worked as a graphic designer,
formed a music-publishing, moved to Marbella in Spain
and to Paris and started painting again.
Today he lives and works near Munich.
